# ragstone.ai > Plain answers by Hesham Elmahdy to the questions leaders ask before they build an AI agent. Core principle: An agent is only as good as what it knows about your business. ## Do I need an AI agent at all? - [Would a normal report solve my problem, or do I really need AI?](https://ragstone.ai/en/questions/normal-report-or-ai/): If a programmer could write an ordinary report against your database and the problem would go away, you do not need AI. You need the report. AI earns its place only where a report cannot reach. ## What does the agent need to know? - [Why does my AI agent give confident wrong answers about my own business?](https://ragstone.ai/en/questions/confident-wrong-answers/): Because it is answering from what it learned about the world in general, not from what is true in your company. A model trained on the whole internet knows a lot about business in general and nothing about your contracts, your prices or your clients. Unless you give it your own information at the moment it answers, it fills the gap with something that sounds right. ## How I run my own work with agents - [Who checks the AI agent?](https://ragstone.ai/en/questions/who-checks-the-agent/): Another agent checks the work, and you check the decisions. An agent left to grade its own work will tell you everything is fine. You need a second agent whose only job is to look for what went wrong, and a clear line between what that checker may fix on its own and what it must bring to you. ## About - [About Hesham Elmahdy](https://ragstone.ai/en/about/): three decades of enterprise systems in the Gulf (core banking and payments, ERP, digital transformation); co-founder of OdooTec; builds AI agents.
